New single featuring Mason Jennings and Chastity Brown out now
"Wishing Well", the first single from my forthcoming record Darker Than Blue, is now available for download on iTunes. Featuring fellow Minnesota musicians Mason Jennings and Chastity Brown on harmony vocals, the song takes listeners on a journey through the heart of love and loss. Co-written by Erik Koskinen, “Wishing Well” was tracked live at RealPhonic Studio in Minneapolis with Jeremy Hanson on drums, David Huckfelt (The Pines) on acoustic guitar, Alex Ramsey (The Pines) on keys, James Buckley (The Pines) on bass, Joe Savage (MPR’s Wits) on pedal steel, Erik Koskinen on electric guitar and Barbara Jean on fiddle and lead vocals. You can download the track by itself or pre-order Darker Than Blue in its entirety and get the single immediately. New video included in City Pages MN Top Ten list
The new promo video I put together for Darker Than Blue made the Minneapolis City Pages Top Ten Must-See Minnesota list this week. In the Local Frames article City Pages Music Critic Erik Thompson says, "The song snippets featured in the clip sound glorious, and this upcoming release is definitely one you should all be paying close attention to in the coming months." Thanks to Mr. Thompson for the kind words!
